Julius/Juda Tillinger was born in Stanislwow (now known as Ivano-Frankvisk, Ukraine) in the Austro-Hungarian province of Galicia on April 1, 1886. He was the 3rd child of my 2nd great grandparents Aron Moshe Tillinger and Hanna Wachs/Mossler. In 1905 he was sent to America by his parents since was a troublemaker (so says his daughter) and lived for a few years in New York city before moving to Providence, Rhode Island because he saw an ad about jobs there. Julius was the first of my Tillinger family in America.
