Tobias Boas born November 3, 1696 in Den Haag, The Netherlands to my 7th great grandparents Haim Avraham Boas and Miryam Magnus. Haim came from the Prussian/Polish city of Srem and Miryam was the daughter of a butcher (cattle products seems to be a theme in my family history.) Tobias as an adult had one of the largest banking houses in Den Haag. Ten years after his death his sons went into bankruptcy.
