#FamilyTree365 – Day Five September 5, 2015

Jozef Israels was a Dutch painter from Groningen who during his lifetime was referred to as “the most respected Dutch artist of the second half of the nineteenth century.”

He was a fourth cousin to my 3rd great grandmother Keetje Mozes (Benjamins) Lob. Our closest common ancestors being on of my sets of 7th great grandparents – Marcus Meyer Jacob Lier and Anna Chaya Salomon Deventer. This set happens to be a duplicate set of ancestors (yay for tree collapse!)
