The father of Andreas Mendel was Samuel, which makes him my fifth great grandfather. I don’t know much about him other than that he has at least five children – Bernard, Rosalia, August, Seligmann, and Andreas. Samuel was the son of Mendel Hirtz and Esther. At some point he married Sophia Bernard who was the daughter of Bernhard Salomon and Johanna Anselm
