#FamilyTree365 – Day 18 September 18 2016

Abraham Salomon Levisson was one of the most prominent Rabbi’s in the Netherlands during the Holocaust.  Abraham was born on June 8, 1902 to Salomon Abraham Levisson and Julie Bondi.  Due to the endogamy of Dutch Jews Abraham was actually a triple (at least) cousin to my family.  His great grandparents Salomon Abraham Levisson and Rosetta Tobias van Cleeff were first cousins.  Salomon’s father Abraham and Rosetta’s mother Leentje were siblings.  So through that way he was a double cousin 4th cousin to my grandmother Rosetta was also a sibling of my grandmother’s great grandfather Isaac van Cleeff which makes him third cousin.

In 1943 he died on a train on his way to Theresienstadt.
